BrewBlog: WOB Russian Imperial Stout
General Information
Method: All Grain

This is the base recipe for the batch of Russian Imperial Stout the club is making to age in a bourbon barrel.  At the club picnic we brewed up a 40 gallon batch of this recipe and at the World of Beer festival we brewed up another 20.  We will be transferring this brew to a bourbon barrel (never used for brewing before) in the near future and plan to age it for about a year.  Look for the first serving at the 2009 World of Beer Festival!
